| Bio: | In no particular order I'm a trombonist, a geneticist, and a dragon (the friendly kind). I grew up in Maine. I'm a hick who went Ivy League, so I can enjoy myself equally at an orchestral performance or an illegal fireworks show in someone's backyard. I hope to dedicate my life to environmental causes, for both practical and emotional reasons. I studied grapes for the USDA for two years in between college and grad school. Now I'm a Ph.D. student in genetics, studying invasive species of plants.
I'm a proud alumna of the Dartmouth College Marching Band, and after college played in a couple community bands in the Finger Lakes. Now I've joined a community band out here... my band geekery will never die!
