that I'm going to edit because it's too long:
I haven't shaved my legs in five years. I just love the look and the feel of how they are naturally. It's very sensual. Yes, it's thick, dark, and obvious, not blonde.
I only started shaving in the eighth grade because I was being teased in gym class. In high school and college sometimes I would go without shaving for the winter, or do weird things like leave the ankles hairy because I liked the hair. The year after I graduated college, I had stopped shaving for the winter and was contemplating whether or not to start again in the spring. The straw that broke the camel's back? A guy (who soon became a serious boyfriend of mine for a year and a half, and who is still a good friend) said that he really liked my legs hairy and that I shouldn't start shaving again.
In my online dating profile I am upfront about the fact that I don't shave my legs. I still get plenty of messages and dates with nice guys.
If you're reading this and gagging, that's fine. You don't have to date me. Guys who are okay with female leg hair are the kind of guys I want to date anyway, since they are more likely to be into nature and to think that gender roles are crap, as I do.
As an adult, no one has ever given me a hard time about my leg hair. At this point I can wear shorts in public and not feel self conscious. Ladies, if you are thinking about not shaving, please go for it. It's fun.
