I had a dream this morning before waking up about some sort of elven folk. Most of the dream was gone pretty quickly, but one part stuck with me. This married couple had died, and as the viewer of the story I could see their spirits in the room. There was a close friend or relative, male, who had the air of a big friendly oaf. The spirits began to age visibly, and they realized that this is what happened when they were not attached to a body. As visitors left the room it was clear that the oafish fellow was content and happy because he could sense the spirits' presence in the room, although he hadn't told anyone else. He sat down and placed two cell phones and/or bars of soap on the chair next to him. These objects symbolically contained the spirits of the deceased. Although he couldn't see or really hear them, they were able to ask if he would share his body with them, and know that he consented. The female spirit in the couple was raising her palms up with a wet towel (or large washcloth) draped over them, and from the chair the oafish guy lowered his palms to contact hers. There was an interruption at this point. I'm not sure if it was me waking up, or further events in the dream.
