I'm working on my NSF proposal from home... so much more relaxing than staying at school. Except soon I have to leave for more Perl time. There was an informational meeting last night about the NSF fellowship that made me feel like I am not going to get it. So I'd like to still try hard on the application, but mostly just try to get it over with.
And I thought that Summa Cum Laude at Dartmouth was going to be my ticket to everything else in life.
Mmm, a year ago plus a couple days I also stayed home to work on the NSF application. Dan broke up with me that day and Bernie emailed me to tell me that the success of my rotation with him depended on how many gels I ran. For some reason right now I also find myself reminiscing about last November and going to my trailer in the arboretum every day to tweak DNA sequence alignment parameters for my rotation with Dave. I just had one class then, so things were relatively relaxed.
